RESERVATIONS

TERMS & CONDITIONS

We kindly ask that you adhere to our table ‘leave’ policy should you make a reservation that requires the table back for a pre-determined time. This will be mentioned in your confirmation e-mail.

To ensure all of our guests receive the best level of service we respectfully ask that you are fully seated at the time of your reservation. Should you arrive more than twenty minutes after your allocated booking time without forewarning, you may lose your table to another guest.

It is essential that we are notified of any specific dietary requirements prior to your visit to ensure that we can cater for you appropriately. If you have not informed us at the point of booking please contact us directly here to discuss your requirements.

Tables are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and we cannot guarantee your table will be allocated in your preferred area.

Please note that our bar area is unavailable for reservations.

PARTY BOOKINGS

For parties of 12+, please call us on 01527 878169 during our opening hours or enquire here. Please note that we will require a non-refundable £25 deposit upon booking as well as completion of our pre-order form which will be e-mailed to you. Unfortunately we are unable to offer any of our menus to any parties larger than twelve without a completed pre-order.

Cancellation Policy

Our restaurant’s continued viability relies on reservations being honoured by our guests and adequate notice being given by any changes or cancellations. Accordingly we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for any booking that is cancelled or if numbers are reduced without prior notice. You must notify us of any changes to a reservation at least 24 hours in advance. The Gate at Bournheath reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of £10 per person for any bookings altered or cancelled within this 24-hour notice. This reflects the cost incurred by us in terms of staffing, food and any lost revenue as a result of turning away other potential bookings. We will notify you if any cancellation fee has been applied. The same applies to any bookings that fail to turn up without any prior notice.
